Peacock cranked up the excitement in NYC as it rolled out the red carpet for the premiere of Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist.

Held at Jazz at Lincoln Center, on Wednesday (September 4), the event kicked off with a surprise runway show, courtesy of GQ, showcasing ’70s-inspired fashion that nodded to the series’ retro vibes, according to a press statement. Kevin Hart’s character, Chicken Man, even had his custom-built 1966 Cadillac Calais on display, thanks to West Coast Customs!

After a packed screening of the first two episodes, over 800 guests headed to an exclusive after-party in The Appel Room, complete with a ’70s nightclub vibe, beats from DJ Trauma, and Roc Nation’s Lenny Santiago’s famous gold couch.

Big names filled the room—Kevin Hart, Samuel L. Jackson, Taraji P. Henson, Don Cheadle, and more. Also spotted: Amber Ruffin, WWE’s Sheamus, rapper SAINt JHN, Busta Rhymes, and Real Housewives stars Guerdy Abraira and Karen Huger.

Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist is a limited series that dramatizes one of Atlanta’s largest-ever heists, based on an iHeart Radio podcast and produced by Will Packer. Starring Kevin Hart, the show unfolds the gripping story of Gordon “Chicken Man” Williams, who leverages Muhammad Ali’s return to spotlight his city and dives into a high-stakes criminal world. Produced in collaboration with Shaye Ogbonna, it brings to life a story so wild it feels almost unbelievable.

“This is a high-level Black project with a lot of resources,” showrunner Shaye Ogbonna told the Los Angeles Times in September 2024 of the project’s impact. “It’s important that the story is told correctly and accurately. You don’t get a lot of opportunities like this.”

Ready for a knockout Thursday? Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist hits Peacock with a three-episode debut on September 5, and then keeps the drama coming with new episodes every week—only on Peacock.
