Saweetie has revealed the interesting way she discovered that her ex-boyfriend was cheating.

During an appearance on the “Call Her Daddy podcast, the “NANi” rapper opened up about how she found out about her ex’s infidelity.

In a hotel room on a previous New Year’s Eve, she got a call from a male friend. After her then-boyfriend thought she was being unfaithful.

Eventually, her ex gave her the passcode to his phone to prove his innocence. While he was sleeping, Saweetie went through the phone where she came across some intel in a group chat.

“This man had been playing me the whole time. But I knew it was a sickness because it was all types of women,” she recalled. “I went to the assistant group chat. I went to the assistant messages cause you know the assistant sets up everything for like the man.”

Saweetie continued: “I was typing in keywords so it was pulling up all the receipts and I remember I had got so sick but then so numb that I didn’t care because it wasn’t like one person. You’re not obsessing over one person. You have a sickness.”

While Saweetie doesn’t divulge the name of her former boyfriend, many have speculated that Quavo was the subject of the story. The two were a couple from  2018 and 2021.

Following their breakup, Saweetie shared on social media that she endured “too much betrayal and hurt” throughout their tumultuous relationship.

“I’m single. I’ve endured too much betrayal and hurt behind the scenes for a false narrative to be circulating that degrades my character,” her tweet read. “Presents don’t band-aid scars, and the love isn’t real when the intimacy is given to other women.”

“I emotionally checked out a long time ago and have walked away with a deep sense of peace and freedom,” she added. “Excited for this new chapter of elevation.”
