Scar Lip is firing shots at M&T Bank, alleging that an employee had her in their crosshairs the moment she walked through the door, accusing them of racism and profiling.
On Thursday (August 29), the Bronx-bred rapper hit up Instagram Live to air her frustrations. “Yo M&T bank is racist as fuck,” she began. “Why when I go to this M&T bank, I’m being profiled on some weird shit.”
Even with her address, I.D., and social security card in hand, Scar Lip who revealed she needed to complete a business transaction, claims the bank teller still denied her service.
“I proved everything, so why you not tryna let me make a transfer?” she continued.
According to the rising star, who’s often compared to a young DMX, the bank employee apparently wasn’t “comfortable” with forking over the cash.
“What the fuck you mean you don’t feel comfortable?” she demanded. “Bitch gimme my money. Now because you don’t feel comfortable, I’m taking my money out this bank, and I’m going to another bank. Because y’all n-ggas not about to be treating me all type of weird.”
Despite emphasizing that the transfer was for “a business thing,” the “No Statements” rhymer said the teller dismissed her, replying, “I need more information than that. That’s not good enough.” She added that the employee even threatened to call the cops. “What are they gonna do? You gone call the cops on me for tryna make a transfer? Bitch, I’m a business. I own a business.”
Scar Lip believes she was judged the moment she entered the bank and has since threatened to sue. “M&T, y’all better talk to me for real, before I sue y’all. It’s one or the other ways; I’m suing y’all n-ggas or y’all gone give me a muthafuckin explanation on why the f### I’m being profiled tryna get my muthafuckin money out the bank.”
