Sexyy Red defends Ice Spice after fans point out the rapper’s weight loss.
A clip of Ice Spice on stage during a recent performance has been making its rounds on social media. As her set was ending, Ice showed some love to the crowd while hitting her signature twerk dance move. The clip has since went viral and fans are noticing Ice’s weight loss.
“She looks like she’s slimming down..” reacts one fan. “Y’all have a problem with everything! Gain weight, lose weight damned if you do damned if you don’t..” commented another.
Sexyy Red came to Ice’s defense- she commented up a post shared by the NeighborHood Talk. “Yal act like people can’t b stressed or not eat as much and she still look good so next…” Sexyy wrote. ““So, we’re just gonna act like back-to-back performances isn’t gonna burn calories? It’s many factors that contribute to weight loss” read another comment.
Ice Spice previously shared a photo dump via Instagram showing off her gym sessions. The dump included photos of a weight machine covered in sweat and a selfie of herself standing in front of a gym mirror.
Ice is gearing up to drop her debut album Y2K. During a previously interview Ice opens up about her journey leading up to the album. “I always had a passion for music and I feel like whatever people are passionate in, they’re going to end up doing something along those lines,” she says.
“The second I stop having fun while recording, I need to just close the session and come back to it later. I don’t really think, ‘How am I going to get people to come into my store?’ consciously, but I probably do without even realizing it,” she expressed.
The album is set to be released July 26th, 2024.
