Sexyy Red recently paid tribute to the late Rich Homie Quan — who died earlier this week — during a performance in Nebraska. Sexyy took to Nebraska’s Pinnacle Arena stage to pay homage to the “Lifestyle” rapper. The set took place nearly one day after news broke about Quan’s death. Sexyy Red shared a clip of the performance via X. “Long Live
@RichHomieQuan!!” she wrote in the post’s caption.

The “Pound Town” rapper played Rich Homie Quan’s first major hit, “Type Of Way.” The crowd roared and then sang along to the lyrics. On Thursday (Sept.5), Rich Homie Quan’s —real name Dequantes Lamar — family shared the heartbreaking news about his passing. While there is no official cause of death yet, rumors of an overdose have been circulating. TMZ Hip Hop reported the Atlanta native died in his home. His family tells the outlet the news is “shattering.”

Sexyy Red Tour Cancelled, Low Ticket Sales

In other news, Sexyy Red’s upcoming trek across the country recently got shut down due to low ticket sales. Sexyy Red’s tour plans have hit a major snag as she faces challenges with low ticket sales. The rapper’s highly anticipated headlining tour, “Sexyy Red 4 President,” was set to kick off on August 22nd in Seattle at WAMU Theater, but reports indicate that the show has been canceled. Unfortunately, this is not the only change; her scheduled performances in Portland on August 23 and Oakland on August 26th have also been canceled.

The cancellations come as a blow to fans, who are expressing their frustration online. Despite the tour’s high profile, there has been no official announcement from Sexyy Red on her social media accounts, leaving many fans in the dark. This development is not entirely unexpected. Back in early July, The Art Of Dialogue and Touring Data revealed that ticket sales were lagging, with only 37.11 percent of the 85,217 tickets sold at that time.
