Soulja Boy has fired back at Drake after feeling targeted by a diss in a snippet of an unreleased collaboration with Lil Yachty. Kai Cenat shared a preview of this track, tentatively named “Super Soak,” on his livestream earlier this week. In the snippet, Drake raps, “I’m watching the moves, playin’ it close / SOD, super soak,” which appears to reference Soulja Boy’s label Stacks on Deck and his 2007 track “Super Soak.”
Soulja Boy didn’t take this diss lightly. He jumped on Instagram Live to issue a stern warning to Drake. “Drake, you better keep that shit light, my boy. This your first and only warning, my boy,” he said. “I’m telling you some gangsta shit. If you doing a shout-out, cool. If you’re any form, shape, or way trying to disrespect me or sneak diss, I’m on yo ass, boy. This not gon’ be the best idea for you, family.” He added, “If it’s a shout-out, stamp that. You or Yachty, stamp that. If it ain’t no shout-out, speak on how you feel, my boy, and we can get to it.”
Soulja Boy also referenced Drake’s ongoing feud with Kendrick Lamar, saying, “How the fuck you let Kendrick Lamar cook yo ass, and then the first thing you do is try to come at me? Twin, it better be a shout-out!” This comment ties back to Soulja Boy’s earlier social media outburst where he expressed his disappointment in Drakes diss tracks to Kendrick Lamar. On X, he wrote, “Swag Season July 28 never let a n-gga try me like I’m drake. You disappointed me. @Drake.” In another post, he said, “Doing all them weak ass songs with them n-ggaz look where it got u none of them n-ggaz you collab with or took on tour had yo back @Drake.”
This situation highlights the ongoing tensions and rivalries in the hip-hop scene. Soulja Boy makes it clear he’s not one to be disrespected.
