Netflix’s latest sports docuseries, “Starting 5,” is set to premiere on October 9, 2023. The 10-part series provides a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the 2023-24 NBA season, focusing on five of the league’s top stars: Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat, Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves, LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers, Domantas Sabonis of the Sacramento Kings, and Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics.
The series trailer, recently released, offers fans an in-depth look into both the professional and personal lives of these players. According to Netflix, “Starting 5” captures the players’ “battles on and off the court as they chase greatness, push through injuries, and balance the demands of family and legacy.”
Viewers will get to see James striving to maintain peak performance in his 21st season, while Edwards rises as one of the league’s brightest stars. Butler’s relentless energy drives the Heat, Sabonis plays a key role for the Kings with his versatile skillset, and Tatum leads the Celtics in their pursuit of an 18th championship title.
