Stevie Wonder Critiques Drake and Kendrick Lamar Beef: Not Amused

Stevie Wonder weighs in on Drake and Kendrick Lamar feud, citing it as a distraction from real-world conflicts.

In a chat with TMZ, the “Superstition” singer appeared to highlight the recent violence in Israel-Gaza and Eastern Europe, particularly between Ukraine and Russia. He implied that focusing on trivial disputes like the one between Drizzy and Kenny pales in comparison to the gravity of real-world conflicts.

“Any kind of war is bad for the world. Any kind of war,” he said when asked for his thoughts regarding the duo’s drama.

Pressed to clarify whether he harbors any “bad feelings” regarding the feud unfolding between the influential artists, Stevie conceded that he holds no such sentiments. However, he emphasized the need for individuals to reassess where they invest their time and attention.

“I don’t have any bad feelings. I just think that the world just needs to focus on what’s going on, because those things are just distractions,” he added.

“Do you know the wars that are going on right now? Do you know the homelessness that is going on right now?,” he questioned the cameraman, who echoed Stevie’s concerns.

Another individual seemingly (and surprisingly) unfazed by the beef is Drake’s close collaborator, J. Cole.

The Dreamville rapper was recently spotted chilling on a beach with his laptop and headphones on. The fan, who posed in the pic with Cole, shared it via X/Twitter, writing, “me: goes to the beach to clear my head. Me: casually meets J. Cole.”

The snapshot follows Cole issuing a public apology to K. Dot for throwing shade on his scathing diss track “7 Minute Drill,” shortly after their verbal sparring.

“…Man, that’s the lamest shit I ever did. In my fucking life’ right?” said Cole about making the track. “And, I know, this is not what a lot of people want to hear… I can hear my n***as up there right now like… ‘Nahhh, don’t do that.’ But, I gotta keep it 100 with y’all. I damn near had a relapse, right? Because, y’all heard some shit that happened two-three weeks ago, however long it was… y’all heard that bazooka that was dropped.”

He continued: “I felt conflicted ’cause I’m like, bruh I know I don’t really feel a way. But the world wanna see blood… so I say all of that to say, in my spirit of trying to get this music out, I moved in a way that spiritually feels bad on me. I tried to jab my n***a back and I tried to keep it friendly. But at the end of the day, when I listen to it and when it comes out and I see the talk, that sh*t don’t sit right with my spirit.”
