Rapper/Superfly actor Kaalan Walker will be locked up for a long time.
Kaalan was sentenced to 50 years to life for sexual assault. In April, he was convicted of three counts of forcible rape, one count of assault to commit oral copulation, two counts of statutory rape, and two counts of rape by intoxication, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
Multiple women accused him of sexual abuse. He was arrested in 2018 and charged with nine counts of felony sexual assault. On March 5, he was released after an “anonymous celebrity posted his $1.08 million bail, Hip Hop DX reports.
Multiple women ages 16-22 accused Walker of sexual abuse. Walker’s sexual assault claims date back to 2016. The LA Times reported his alleged victims were aspiring models. The victims allegedly told police that Walker contacted them through social media for a modeling opportunity. The women said when they met Walker alone, he sexually assaulted them.
Walker’s legal team plans on appealing his sentence.
