T.I. has announced he’s nearing the end of his live performance career, revealing that he will take the stage for the final time later this year.

The Atlanta rap legend shared his decision during an interview on 96.1 The Beat, where he confirmed that his last live show will be at the 2024 Jingle Ball hosted by the station.

During the interview, T.I. expressed his gratitude to the hosts, thanking them for “offering me my last working gig.” Reflecting on his decades-long career, the rapper explained that he no longer feels the financial need to perform.

“I don’t need the money anymore, and I will not be performing,” he said. When asked to clarify, T.I. added, “I don’t want people paying me to hop around and sweat for their entertainment anymore.”

Fans will have their final chance to see him perform live on December 19 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta. The Jingle Ball lineup will also feature artists like T-Pain, Sexyy Red, Saweetie, Tinashe, and Khalid.

T.I.’s financial success is well-established. Just last month, he and his wife, Tiny Harris, were awarded $71 million in a lawsuit against MGA Entertainment, the company behind the popular O.M.G. Dolls. The court ruled in favor of the couple, determining that some of the dolls had infringed on the intellectual property of the OMG Girlz, a pop group co-owned by T.I. and Tiny.

In addition to his legal victory, T.I. had previously announced plans to release one final double album. In late 2023, he signaled that it was time for him to move beyond his rap career.

“There are plenty of people now who are carrying the torch and pushing the culture forward,” he said. His upcoming double album, Kill the King—with a B-side titled Kiss the King—will mark the end of his music journey.
