T.I. is brushing off the recent arrest that stemmed from a case of mistaken identity, choosing to move forward with a positive attitude. In an interview with TMZ Hip Hop in Beverly Hills, the rapper downplayed the situation, saying he’s “too blessed to be stressed” and attributing the mix-up to routine police procedures.

The trouble began when officers at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport were alerted to an outstanding warrant for a Clifford Harris. This name matched T.I.’s real name, but the warrant was actually for a different individual wanted in Baltimore for violent acts, stalking, and possible firearm possession. The arrest triggered an automatic extradition hearing due to the warrant’s out-of-state origin.

T.I.’s attorney, Steven Sadow, quickly intervened, reaching out to the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office. Thanks to his swift action, the issue was resolved within two hours, and a judge dismissed the extradition order. The confusion was further clarified by physical differences; the Clifford Harris sought in the warrant weighed about 205 pounds, while T.I. is around 165 pounds.

Reflecting on the experience, T.I. has taken his mistaken identity arrest as a lesson in managing his emotions and staying focused on the present. He explained that his calm reaction, in contrast to the typical response from others in similar situations, is a result of his new approach to life. T.I. has learned to temper his responses and avoid unnecessary confrontations. He emphasized that everyone has a role to play, and his is to steer clear of political controversies and concentrate on his music career. This mindset helps him remain grounded and positive, despite the challenges he faces.
