T-Pain vowed vengeance on the individual who rear-ended him and his family on Sunday evening (April 21) in Atlanta.
Despite a damaged truck and his driver being hauled into an ambulance for medical treatment, the award-winning entertainer assured him and his family were okay. In an Instagram video, the “Bartender” hitmaker promised the culprit’s life would get worse.
“Look man, I know n***a out here strugglin’,” T-Pain began. “And all that. And things are hard, and time is rough these days. But whoever just f*ckin’ ran into back of my g*ddamn truck. Whoever just f*ckin’ hit me, my wife, my road manager, my driver, whoever just did that sh*t and drove the f*ck off. My n***a, life is about to get so much worse [laughs].”
After his driver received medical attention, T-Pain questioned the motives of the culprit, who fled the scene but credited his ambition to find them because of how much success he recently attained. He explained:
“First off all n***a, you left the whole g*ddamn front of your truck. So we know what we looking for now. You left your f*ckin baby toy, so now we know you got kids… Again, I know times is hard. And I know things is rough out there. But I tell you what, shit is going to great for me to not make me want revenge right now because you drove the f*ck off. And that was the worst part, it wasn’t even the wreck. I had so much sh*t to do tonight … Threw my schedule off, one. Thank god I’m alive, but still. Oh my god, my driver. Now my driver gotta get hauled off.”
He concluded: “I know things is going bad for a lot of people. I don’t know if you was drunk. I don’t know if you ain’t pay your insurance. I don’t know what’s going on in your life.”
T-Pain performed his residency in Las Vegas over the weekend at the Zoku Nightclub in the Ayu Dayclub. He is currently on tour with LaRussell. He is featured on Meghan Trainors’s new single “Been Like This” and dropped his latest single, “Dreaming,” in February.
Celebrities and fans flooded T-Pain’s post with positive vibes after the accident. Comedic actor Affion Crockett commented, “Glad you’re good bro,” while Jalee White wrote, “If “Kill ‘em with Kindness” was a person [laughing emoji] Glad u and wifey are okay.”
Pain engaged with others in the comments. He referred to potential back and neck pains following the accident but also credits the issues to old age.
“Ppl that are saying my neck and back gonna hurt tomorrow are really underestimating how much my neck and back was already hurting from just being old,” he wrote in the comments.
In other news, T-Pain and his former mentor Akon are scheduled to reunite at Wiscansin Fest this June in Milwaukee.
