Over the weekend, Kendrick Lamar bombarded Drake with diss tracks, attacking his character, crew, and past transgressions.
On “Not Like Us,” Lamar reminded fans that Drake slept with Lil Wayne‘s ex-girlfriend while his mentor was serving his one-year sentence at Riker’s Island in 2010. Fans have again brought up that Lil Wayne’s former girlfriend was legendary video vixen Tammy Torres.
“Fucked on Wayne girl while he was in jail, that’s connivin’ / Then get his face tatted like a bitch apologizin’,” raps Kendrick on “Not Like Us.”
Tammy Torres, a legendary video vixen, is best known for starring in Lil Wayne’s “Mrs. Officer” music video. Her resume also includes music videos for Rick Ross, Flo-Rida, Young Jeezy, and more. Today, Torres is an actress, philanthropist, motivational speaker, and entrepreneur.
Lil Wayne and Tammy reportedly began dating in 2009 and ended their relationship in 2011. They met in Miami after Wayne relocated following Hurricane Katrina.
Lil Wayne spoke on Drake confessing to sleeping with Tammy Torres in Weezy’s memoir, “Gone ‘Til November, in 2016. In the memoir, Wayne wrote: “Finding out that she [Torres] f*****g Drake was the absolute worst thing I could have found out. Drizzy came to see me, he was like, ‘Yeah, it’s true’. Damn! This is the type of s**t a man never wants to find out while he is locked up.”
Lil Wayne rapped about Tammy Torres’s cheating on him on The Carter 4 tracks “6-Foot 7-Foot” and “How To Hate.” On How To Hate,” Wayne raps, “I had a redbone, but she be tripping though / All that bullshit is for the birds, she was pigeon-toed / She used to always say, fuck my niggas / And when I went to jail, she fucked my niggas.”
In the song “6 Foot 7 Foot” featuring Corey Gunz, Lil Wayne mentions Torres again by saying:“Had my heart broken by this woman named Tammy / But hoes gon’ be hoes, so I couldn’t blame Tammy.”
In 2015, Torres spoke with TMZ about bonding with two rap stars but remained silent about the details, promising to discuss it later.
In January, Tammy Torres returned to hip hop among legendary vixens in Turbo and Gunna’s “Bachelor” music video. “I had a time filming this video reuniting with some of my fellow all-time #LEGENDARY vixens of the 2000s,” Torres wrote on Instagram.
Lil Wayne and Drake have been friends and have released multiple hits together throughout their career. Wayne joined Drake on the “Big As The What” tour in March. Although Lil Wayne was mentioned in the beef, he has not taken a side in the Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar feud.
On Sunday evening, Drake released a new diss track aimed at Kendrick Lamar titled “The Heart Pt. 6“.
