J Cole shocked the internet when he released a diss track aimed at Kendrick Lamar.
The rapper released a surprise project “Might Delete Later,” which includes features from Ari Lennox, Gucci Mane, Young Dro, T-Minus, Cam’ron, Bas, the Alchemist, Ab-Soul, Charlie Heat, Mike Will Made-It, Central Cee, and more.
On the track “7 Minute Drill.” he takes shots at Kendrick Lamar. He raps, “I came up in the ’Ville, so I’m good when it’s tension/He still doin’ shows, but fell off like The Simpsons.”
He also takes jabs at Kendrick Lamar’s discography “Yo first s**t was classic, yo last s**t was tragic / Yo second s**t put n***as to sleep but they gassed it, your third s**t was massive, that was your prime / I was trailing right behind, now I Just now hit mine.”
Lamar’s label head, TDE Punch, reacted to the diss, “SMH. I thought to pimp a butterfly was pretty good,” he wrote via Twitter.
