Tekashi 6ix9ine Arrested For Alleged Domestic Violence In Dominican Republic

According to multiple sources, controversial rap star Tekashi 6ix9ine is being held in a Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic jail following an arrest on Wednesday (Jan. 17) on domestic violence charges with a scheduled hearing set for Thursday (Jan.18); however, remains in police custody as of Friday morning (Jan.19).

Tekashi 6ix9ine, real name Daniel Hernández, has a warrant for his arrest in Santo Domingo related to an incident involving his girlfriend, Yailin la Mas Viral. Investigated by the Department of General Violence, Tekashi was taken to Palace of Justice with the accusation that he inflected physical and psychological violence against Yailin.

Tekashi and Yailin were seen on vacation in the Dominic Rupublic earlier this week. Tekashi shared a photo with him and girlfriend on Monday (Jan. 15) at The Royal Beach Resort.

Tekashi’s girlfriend was arrested in Palm Beach, Florida on battery charges against the rapper in last month. Yailin is currently out on bond and charged with aggravated battery, property damage-criminal mischief, and obstructing justice.

Tekashi’s recent arrest marks his second in the Dominic Republic. In October 2023, 69 was arrested for assaulting a producer.
