Recently, allegations of betrayal have led to a tumultuous decline in the relationship between The Game and Ye (formally known as Kanye West). Over the weekend, Ye directed pointed criticism at The Game during a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter). This unexpected attack came as a surprise, particularly since The Game has been one of the few artists maintaining public support for the rapper amid his numerous controversies.

Ye expressed discontent over Game’s association with Top 5, a Toronto rapper affiliated with Drake, who has recently been accused by the mogul of making threats against him. In a provocative statement, Ye remarked, “Why is Game, who I have gifted two Maybachs, showing affection to Top 5, who is threatening my life? Well, I guess I’m no longer executive producing that album,” referring to Game’s anticipated project, The Documentary 3.

The Game wasted no time in responding, taking to Instagram to express his frustration, stating, “Forget you and your Maybachs! I’ll be back in LA in a week, and you can come collect them yourself! I never asked you for anything, and when you gifted me those cars, I made it clear that I was fine without them. Yet you insisted.” He further accused Ye of being disingenuous in their dealings, asserting, “You say you owe me for being the only solid one out of everyone, yet you won’t even call me like a man to address this situation.”

In a dramatic turn, Game revealed that Yeezy had initially asked him to reconcile with Top 5, indicating a willingness to resolve their issues. “You asked if I knew Top 5, and when I confirmed, you told me he was threatening you. I reached out to him out of respect, and he agreed to let it go,” Game explained on X. “I informed you it was resolved, and then you changed your number!”

The duo’s collaboration on a song titled “Tina” earlier this year further complicates the narrative due to its provocative lyrics about Tina Knowles. With lines that exude bravado and humor, Game created a buzz with lyrics that included references to his interactions with Beyoncé’s mother. The accompanying video depicted the whirlwind of reactions that ensued after The Game’s bold move, showcasing how a lighthearted DM could transform into a full-fledged music project.
