Mary J. Blige or Monet Tejada?
The Internet had a field day after a video went viral of the queen of hip hop and R&B soul. Mary J. Blige was spotted sitting courtside at the Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics basketball game at the Barclays in Brooklyn.
The clip that’s getting a lot of attention is when Mary told BK Nets player Kyrie Irving to “step it up.” Take a look at a repost from a Twitter user. In the caption, they wrote, “Mary J yelling at Kyrie to step it up court side like she talking to Cane on [Power].”

Mary is an actress on Power Book II: Ghost (Monet) and plays a stern, no-nonsense mother who also holds down a drug empire while her husband is in prison. Monet is a savvy street smart queen pen who is training her three children (Cane, Diana, and Dru), like soldiers, to learn the drug game.
