It has been days since Beyoncé’s historic Coachella set, and people are still talking about it.
Fans and critics gave rave reviews to her set that was rooted in black culture, as it was influenced by greek and marching band life in historically black colleges.
Her mother Tina Knowles was afraid it would not be understood by a diverse crowd that may not understand the metaphors and culture set at HBCU’s.
She shared those sentiments in an Instagram post, in which Beyoncé’s response is classic. “At this point in my life and my career i have a responsibility to do whats best for the world and not what is most popular.”
