Prayers up! A founding member of the iconic Jackson 5, Tito Jackson, passes away at 70.

Tito’s sons—Taj, Taryll, and TJ shared a heartfelt tribute to their father after their cousin, Siggy Jackson, confirmed the news to PEOPLE.

“It’s with heavy hearts that we announce that our beloved father, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Tito Jackson is no longer with us. We are shocked, saddened and heartbroken.”

“Our father was an incredible man who cared about everyone and their well-being. Some of you may know him as Tito Jackson from the legendary Jackson 5, some may know him as “Coach Tito” or some know him as “Poppa T.” Nevertheless, he will be missed tremendously. It will forever be “Tito Time” for us. Please remember to do what our father always preached and that is “Love One Another.” We love you Pops.”

Marlon Wayans also spoke out about Tito’s passing. “This one hurts. If you know me you know i LOVE THE JACKSON TRIBE.” he shared via Instagram.

“I send prayers, love, hugs and God to help keep you all in his arms at this time. THANK YOU LEGEND. Your tribe paved the BLUEPRINT along with the DEBARGES and taught us to dream together. Lucky me to have giants like you to blaze a trail. May God hold you and your family at this time and always.”
