Trey Songz reveals that he scrapped a music video due to lack of Black women.

The singer shares a clip from the video and captions it, “Archives. I scrapped this video cause it wasn’t enough black women in it..in Spain last time somebody called me “n****r” didn’t feel right.”

He continued: “song cold tho Traw my dawg @tyga..” The post has since been deleted on Songz Instagram account, but shared on The Shade Room.

“Enough ?! There’s wasn’t any at all..” read one comment. “oh please! Love his music BUT most of his music videos mirror this very aesthetic. So for him to be outraged all of a sudden is a bit comical. He was simply triggered because they called him a derogatory name. If he truly was unhappy with the video why not just re-film it and then make the same statement. It would’ve been way more impactful. But here we are watching the very video that you scrapped..” read another.

Songz has since deleted the post and shared another one which read, “Bae…How trolling work?” seemingly implying that he was trolling in his scrapped video post. “Lies. He thought we were going to clap for the decision. It backfired so now he’s back tracking…” reacted one fan.

We previously reported that Songz faced some legal troubles but it seems they came to a halt.

In February 2023, Songz was accused of assaulting a woman after the two attended a house party. The pair had met while at a nightclub in Los Angeles. The unnamed woman claims that after Songz invited her upstairs and there is where the alleged assault took place.

The victim initially asked for $25,000,000, but both parties eventually reached an agreement for an undisclosed amount.
