Trina recently tied the knot with fiance, Benjamin Leon Kearse Jr., in a private ceremony, according to reports. Per court documents obtained by The Info Spot, the two wed in May in Miramar, FL. Back in April, the pair filed for their marriage license. Trina hasn’t spoken about the event, nor revealed too many details about her relationship with Kearse.
During a 2023 interview with Yung Miami on Caresha Please, the Miami natives talked about her then relationship status and focusing on the single life. “I am just vibing. It’s so much that happened in this year and I just had to take a break from everything. I was engaged, in a whole relationship and when stuff happened I just kind of lost focus. I didn’t feel like I could give my whole self to somebody.”
Before Kearse, the “Single Again,” rapper was in a relationship with another Miami rapper named Raymond “Ray Almighty” Taylor. The two were even engaged before breaking things off in 2023. She continued: “Everything that happened to me just tore my life apart. I was just totally not in a happy space at all.” Trina also opened up about dealing with the grief of losing her mother, as well as having several miscarriages.
Trina also revealed that the recent loss of her mother made it difficult for her to imagine having children. “When my mom got sick, I just went into this phase of I don’t even want to have a kid and my mom is not here. How do I raise a kid without my mom?” she said. However, she isn’t completely turned off from the idea: “I’ll give myself two years to have a kid.”
