Trina recently shared that she did not sign a prenuptial agreement with her husband Benjamin Kearse Jr.,
During an appearance on All Things Keyshia Ka’oir, Keyshia Ka’oir’s, podcast, Trina revealed that she has the final say when it comes to the couple’s finances.
“I didn’t,” Trina said when asked if a prenup was in place. “My husband brings all of his money to me, so I’m in charge. He can’t spend a dime without my consent. He can’t spend a dime for nothing unless it goes through me.”
Trina also shared in the interview that she’s committed to keeping things spicy in the marriage.
“Being a wife, you have all the rights to be as freaky as you like,” Trina said. “And spicy in the bedroom.”
As the interview went on, Trina spoke about growing her family and her past struggles with trying to conceive.
“We talk about it a lot,” Trina said. “Now would be the time. I’ve been through the whole process of having a kid before, had a miscarriage, it didn’t work. It was the most terrifying thing.”
After meeting earlier this year, Trina quietly married Kearse Jr. in a private ceremony in Mayin Miramar, Florida.
Previously, Trina was engaged to Raymond “Ray Almighty,” but their relationship dissolved before they were married.
The “Pull Over” rapper has been opening up in promotion of her memoir “Da Baddest” which was released in early October. Co-written by Sesali Bowen, the book “tells the story of the Miami native’s evolution into a hip-hop icon. Trina, born Katrina Taylor, pioneered the path many female rap stars follow today.”
In the book, Trina revealed that Destiny’s Child members Beyoncé and Michelle Williams encouraged Kelly Rowland to collaborate on their 2005 hit “Here We Go.”
“Kelly was in the middle of the Destiny’s Child farewell tour when she flew out to Miami to shoot it with me. She was the definition of gracious and poised when she introduced herself to everybody like royalty,” Trina said. “She told me that she’d played it for her group mates, and both of them liked it and encouraged her to do it.”
