Tyga Announces New Album Release Date

Tyga is making his return to the rap scene with a new project.

Grammy-nominated rapper has announced the release of his highly anticipated album.

Titled NSFW, the LP is set to release on Friday, January 31st via EMPIRE distribution. The album is his first in six years.

The album title, an acronym for “Not Safe For Work”,” sets the tone for Tyga’s most daring project yet” the press release states. Deploying his one-of-a-kind sound  and West Coast flair, his “experimental elements and thrilling collaborations, NSFW will captivate fans and critics alike.”

Gearing for the release of the project, Tyga has released his new song “Slave” which he recently dropped.

Taking to Instagram, Tyga shared the pre-order links for the album and the album cover.

“NSFW ALBUM JAN 31 !! Pre-save link in bio #NotSafeForWork,” his post read.

Recently, Tyaga has been dropping teasers that a new album was in the works. He dropped singles like “Bops Going’ Brazy” in 2023 and “Sensei” in 2024.

During a recent interview with Rolling Loud, Tyga assured his fanbase that the new album was on the way.

“New album, new album,” he said when asked about what he has in the works for 2025. “I’m mixing it right now. So, album, tour.” 

Although he wasn’t specific, he alluded to having some big-time collaborators on the project.

“We just got to see, you know?” Tyga mentioned. “Working on a few features.” 

In July, Tyga appeared on Tinashe’s smash hit “Nasty” along with Chloe Bailey, After the collaboration, she said that Tyga ideal rapper to hop on the track. 

“Tyga has a legacy of making nasty bops,” Tinashe told PEOPLE. “He has a history of nasty-related themes, so I felt like he was perfect and fit that West Coast vibe in that sense.” 

Since releasing his debut album No Introduction in 2008, Tyga has dropped numerous hits on the Billboard charts. His signature songs include  “Rack City”, “Faded” featuring Lil Wayne, and “Ayo” featuring Chris Brown.
