Tyrese Gibson has been taken into custody after failing to pay child support.
According to TMZ, actor was held in contempt of court and escorted out of the Fulton County courtroom on Monday (Sept. 9) after failing to pay the $10,000 child support fee. The outlet reports that the “Baby Boy” actor could avoid jail time by paying $73,000.
The arrest comes one day after Tyrese warned his fans that he could be arrested following legal battle with ex-wife Samantha Lee. “At 9am in the morning in Atlanta I might be arrested in court,” Gibson wrote in an Instagram post that’s since been deleted.
Tyrese Speaks:
“It’s pretty clear that they hate my guts, but I must remind them and everything about my life and my success. I’ve worked my a** off since I was 14 years old to get here,” he added. “#FamilyLawCourts are the WORST TOWARDS FATHERS.”
“When you were born a man, you go into a courtroom and you understand clearly that there is a preset menu that says, ‘You were born a man, f**k you.’ That’s what the preset menu says,” Gibson said in another post.
