Uncle Murda rang in the New Year with the announcement of his final “Rap-Up” track after a 10-year run.

In the last installment, “Rap Up 2024,” he delivers another no-holds-barred lyrical recap dissecting Hip-Hop’s most chaotic moments. The 17-minute track samples several classic songs from The Temptations, 112, and more.

True to form, the track left no headline unscathed, weaving sharp critiques and witty observations that lit up streaming platforms as listeners recovered from their New Year’s celebrations.

This year’s edition took direct aim at some of Hip-Hop’s biggest controversies. Murda dedicated the opening two minutes to dismantling Diddy’s mounting legal troubles, referencing everything from the infamous leaked tape to allegations involving “freak-offs” and bizarre accusations tied to JAY-Z. The rapper’s razor-sharp pen turned Diddy’s turbulent year into lyrical fodder, setting the tone for an unflinching critique of 2024’s Hip-Hop landscape.

Joe Budden, who trended in late December after being caught naked on a neighbor’s Ring camera, didn’t escape Murda’s sharp tongue. Within hours of the incident making headlines, Murda immortalized it in his track, rapping, “That’s crazy, all the stuff he be talking / He must’ve been on something, he wasn’t sleepwalking.”

His biting humor turned Budden’s awkward mishap into another memorable annual tradition moment. During the song, Uncle Murda remembers DJ Clark Kent and Fatman Scoop.

Other targets included Rick Ross, whose infamous knockout in Canada was widely ridiculed online, and rising star Sexyy Red, whose headline-grabbing antics earned a side-eye from Murda. Even Hip-Hop’s biggest beefs and dramas were fair game, with scathing commentary on Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s lyrical feud, Lil Durk’s arrest, and Cardi B and Offset’s turbulent relationship. Murda also touched on the unexpected tension between Remy Ma and Papoose, adding another layer of intrigue to the track.

With over a decade of annual recaps under his belt, Uncle Murda continues to cement his role as Hip-Hop’s sharpest commentator. “Rap Up 2024” blends humor, storytelling, and unfiltered honesty, offering a comedic yet biting look at the industry’s highs and lows. Once again, Uncle Murda proves that no headline is too big—or too ridiculous—to escape his lyrical crosshairs.
