Wendy Williams has been spotted out for the first time in more than a year.
The former talk show host was seen with her son, Kevin Hunter Jr., at Bolingo Balance, a holistic wellness store in Newark, New Jersey.
The pictures, shared to The Shade Room were praised by fans. “Yaaaaaassss!!! This put a big smile on my face praying that she continues to heal and be kept in a happy place” commented one fan. “Omg I’m so happy to see this, God bless you Wendy..” reacts another.
We previously reported that the iconic radio host was previously diagnosed with Aphasia and Frontotemporal dementia.
A press release from her team confirmed, “after undergoing a battery of medical tests,” Williams was diagnosed with both conditions in 2023.
“Over the past few years, questions have been raised at times about Wendy’s ability to process information and many have speculated about Wendy’s condition, particularly when she began to lose words, act erratically at times, and have difficulty understanding financial transactions,” the release stated.
“Unfortunately, many individuals diagnosed with aphasia and frontotemporal dementia face stigma and misunderstanding, particularly when they begin to exhibit behavioral changes but have not yet received a diagnosis,” the statement continued.
Williams has reportedly been filled with gratitude from the support of her fans following the diagnosis. “The messages shared with me have touched me, reminding me of the power of unity and the need for compassion,” a representative for Williams told The Associated Press in a recent statement.
