Westside Gunn Partners With Saucony For Sneaker Release

Westside Gunn is taking his love of fashion to another level.

The Griselda co-founder announced that he’s collaborating with Saucony, the storied footwear brand, on some custom sneakers.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday (October 9), Westside shared his excitement about the partnership.

“FIRST DAY IN THE OFFICE @saucony,” Westside Gunn’s post read. 

“I’m proud to announce I’m OFFICIALLY dropping my first sneaker!!!!” he posted. “This is a dream come true and I just wanna thank y’all so much for believing in my ART thank u @jaetips for opening the door and inspiring me I’m a keep pushing the culture fwd.”

Westside Gunn also shared the importance of believing in your own vision.

“Also thank u to the staff for believing in my vision and treating me like a Day 1 I won’t disappoint. BIG THINGS ARE HAPPENING and I just wanna let y’all know GOD IS THE GREATEST. Y’all support is wats keeping me going, I’ll put my 800k followers against somebody’s 10M anyday, Love y’all now let’s make some of the flyest kicks ever – #SUPERFLYGOD,” he wrote.

In addition to his sneaker collab, West Gunn recently gave an update on his new album titled Still Praying. The Buffalo representative announced on November 1, that his loyal fans can expect another great project highly-anticipated project.

The album is also dedicated to family and friends who have recently passed away.

“THIS IS FOR BIG DUMP, MICHELLE, GDAD, VIRGIL, CHINEGUN, SLY GREEN, KUTTER, SHOTS, BACON, BEHIND THE WALL and BUFFALO!!!!!!” Westside wrote. “I promise y’all about to witness a new chapter in this shit starting NOW!!!!”

“STILL PRAYING is the beginning of a new era of @griseldarecords. I promise y’all I’m a make sure y’all never forget this sh*t. Just support the ART and watch how life change for the better,” he added.

Known for his love of professional wrestling, Westside unveiled the artwork for the album that features a photo of Sid Eudy, famously known as former WWE star Sid Justice/Sid Vicious who passed away in August.
