Ye, formerly Kanye West, is teasing new music, hinting that his recently revealed upcoming project, BULLY, is “on the way.”
On Tuesday (Oct. 15), the Chicago native shared an updated version of “Beauty And The Beast“ on Instagram, a track he first previewed live in China. Though BULLY doesn’t have an official release date yet, it seems likely “Beauty and The Beast” will feature on the album alongside “Preacher Man,” another track unveiled during Ye and Ty Dolla Sign’s VULTURES listening event in China.
Earlier this year, Ye and Ty Dolla Sign released their first collaborative effort, VULTURES 1, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, amassing 148,000 album-equivalent units. Tracks like “CARNIVAL,” “BACK TO ME,” and “TALKING” became fan favorites, with contributions from notable artists such as Playboi Carti, North West, Chris Brown, YG, and Lil Durk.
After several delays, the duo followed up with VULTURES 2 in August, featuring standout records like “FOREVER ROLLING” with Lil Durk and “530.” However, there’s still no confirmation on whether the third installment of the VULTURES series will arrive before 2024 ends, as initially planned.
Along with teasing BULLY, Ye shared a caption on Instagram: “Updated from Tokyo. Ran the ASR through the SP 1,200.” In the snippet, Ye delivers reflective lyrics: “It’s been a long time coming / Fresh new tires, I’m still running / There’s a few things I’m overcoming / But the checks still clear, still.”
He continues, “Think about it every night and day / Try to stay away, to keep my audience up / Don’t take this as disrespect, I’m sitting here trying to redirect / I’m thinking ‘bout it every night and day / To try to stay away, to keep my audience up.”
“Don’t Have to Shop Around” from the 1960s also appears in the outro of “Beauty and The Beast,” adding a nostalgic layer to Ye’s introspective verses.
