YG remains steadfast in his critique of Donald Trump, sticking to his longstanding slogan “FDT (F*** Donald Trump)” even years after his initial diss. In a recent interview with Kick streamer Adin Ross on August 4th, YG voiced his continued disapproval of the former president, labeling him as “racist” and criticizing Trump’s recent proposal to offer federal immunity to police officers. YG insists that law enforcement should be held accountable for their actions and noted that police brutality has personally affected his circle.

“I’m Black,” YG declared. “I got a lot of homies and friends that done been in police brutality situations where they ain’t really do nothing wrong. Police trippin’ out and n**** end up dead or f***** up in jail. Trump, he thinks different and I don’t f*** with that.” YG’s comments came in response to Trump’s controversial remarks at the National Association of Black Journalists convention, where Trump was asked about granting immunity to the Illinois sheriff’s deputy involved in the fatal shooting of 36-year-old Black woman Sonya Massey. Trump seemed unfamiliar with the details of the case and avoided giving a clear response.

“I don’t know the exact case but I saw something, and it didn’t look good to me,” Trump commented. He added, “You are talking with the water right?” When pressed about the deputy’s potential immunity, Trump stated, “Well he might not, it depends on what happens. I am talking about people much different than that. We need people to protect ourselves.”

YG expressed his outrage over Massey’s death, saying, “She called the police to come protect and serve her and she end up getting shot in the face. What type of s*** is that? That muthaf***a needs to go under the jail.” Despite Ross’s efforts to redirect the discussion to Vice President Kamala Harris’s prosecutorial history, YG remained focused on police brutality, asserting, “We talking about police brutality on innocent Black muthaf***as who was in the wrong, who didn’t have a gun.” YG also took the opportunity to urge Ross to contact him for his upcoming interview with Trump, underscoring his desire to continue addressing these issues.
