Young Dro opens up about T.I.’s son, Domani, once saving him from a drug overdose.

During a recent interview, the “Shoulder Lean” rapper expressed, “Man, I’m on borrowed time. You feel me? I’m not supposed to be sitting here doing this interview.”

T.I., who was in the interview with him, added: “I saw him lifeless. I saw it with my own eyes. Not in person, but my son, Domani, was actually the one that walked in and saw him. He FaceTimed me and said, ‘Hey, what up with Dro?’ I’m tryna wake him up, he won’t wake up.’ I’m like, ‘Dro! Dro! Aye man.’”

Dro continued: “That’s what woke me up. I was like, ‘This n-gga so annoying!’” Laughing, he continued: “I heard him say, ‘What’s wrong?,’ and I was like, ‘I don’t know!’”

Tip added: “It was like he was trying to talk back but couldn’t talk. I was like, ‘Go call the ambulance, man.’”

Dro joked that Domani CPR almost “broke his chest.”

The rapper previously revealed that he is 100% sober. “As I sit here before you, I am 100 percent clean of everything,” Young Dro said. “Seventeen months. I’m working on my two years. Tough, too. I think my mindset changed. It’s still a struggle to actually maintain this because I still live a Hip Hop party life. I go out at night. I pay my bills out of clubs and concerts where my peers are smoking and drinking, popping champagne. And that lifestyle is still there.

“To navigate through it, I feel like I’ve been on this journey for five years already,” he continued. “And that’s just because what I see in the night – to fight through that is like going through terrain in Africa in the jungle.”
