Prayers up for Young Thug.
As reported on XXL, the Atlanta rapper missed a court hearing to take care of his health. Young Thug was hospitalized for an undisclosed reason.
Brian Steel, Young Thug’s attorney, said, “know he’s had some difficulty of a similar sort at the Cobb County jail a few months ago, and so I’m obviously concerned about his wellbeing.”
The outlet points out Brian previously told the courts about Thug’s health condition. Brian said, “Mr. Williams is sleep deprived, mandated to wake up on court days between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. and not having more than five hours of sleep per night. By the end of the week, Mr. Williams is fighting to pay attention to the goings on in his case.”
Brian also advocated for Thug to have healthier wasting options and to be able to get basic things like fresh air or sunlight. Brian also made another request for bond, the judge hasn’t decided on the ruling.
Last year, Thug, Gunna, and dozens of YSL members were hit with a 56-count gang and racketeering indictment. RS also notes that Young Thug, “is accused of engineering the murder of Donovan ‘Peanut’ Thomas in a drive-by shooting in 2015, which precipitated months of near-continuous violence between the accused Young Slime Life street gang and its rivals, YFN.” Thug is accused of being the “ringleader” of a gang.
Gunna struck a plea deal and was released, along with a few other members. However, Thug remains behind bars, awaiting trial. It was set to begin in January but had a few delays.
