This was a case of “If you know, then you know”, according to Young Thug.
In a recent interview on TI’s podcast, Young Thug recalls the time he paid Lil Baby to rap because he believed in him.
T.I stated that Lil Baby credits Young Thug for helping him focus on his raps by paying him. Young Thug responded, “That ni**a didn’t know who he was,” he continued. “I used to read that young ni**a’s captions on his pictures and call him like, ‘bruh, you know you can rap.’ He’s in jail like, ‘bruh, I’mma goddam get out, I’mma goddam get me some money, get me a bag and do what I need to do.”
Young Thug wanted to groom Lil Baby when he got out of jail and get paid for it.
