Today, a judge in Cache County set YoungBoy Never Broke Again‘s bond at $100,000 in connection to a prescription drug fraud case involving multiple individuals. YoungBoy, arrested on April 16th, became the subject of scrutiny following an extensive investigation. This was labeled as an “ongoing criminal enterprise” by authorities. It was alleged that YoungBoy and his associates utilized a pharmacist’s identity to unlawfully acquire prescriptions. They used it to get promethazine and codeine from various pharmacies across Utah.
As per court documents obtained by KUTV, “The prescription was called in by an individual claiming to be a physician in the Provo, Utah area, providing an actual, valid DEA number, NPI number, and other identification for the real physician.”
YoungBoy faces a total of 63 counts. Some of the charges include possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person, identity fraud, and attempts to illicitly obtain prescription drugs. During his recent court appearance, Youngboy was pictured donning an orange inmate jumpsuit. He was accompanied by Drew Findling, who notably represented YFN Lucci in a racketeering case earlier in the year. Also, finding known for representing artists like Gucci Mane, Cardi B, and Migos, supported YoungBoy.
YoungBoy’s arraignment is scheduled for July 1st. Since 2021, YoungBoy has been on house arrest in Utah. He was originally due to firearms charges from a 2020 music video incident. In December 2023, Judge Shelly D. Judge Dick modified YoungBoy’s conditions, permitting him limited outings for medical appointments, court appearances, and pre-approved activities, per legal documents.
