ABOUT DJ BOBBY TRENDS

Known for moving crowds from Brick City to Belgium, DJ Bobby Trends is no stranger to rocking a party.

The Newark-raised DJ got his start spinning at local parties before crossing the river and engraving his brand in the NY Hip-Hop scene. Trends perfected his craft while opening for HOT 97 DJs Cipha Sounds and Funkmaster Flex at New York’s hottest spots.  This soon led him to headline his own gigs all over the city. He was also hitting the mixtape scene with releases by 50 Cent, G-Unit, Dipset, and D-Block. Trends later joined Flex’s DJ crew, “The Pitbulls,” where he took his skills internationally, rocking shows in Africa, Europe, and Asia.

From mixtapes to TV to fashion, Bobby Trends continues to grow his brand.  Besides touring with Jim Jones and Busta Rhymes, and hosting gigs at NBC, ESPN, and SPIKE TV, Trends was one of eight DJs from across the country to join Hennessy Black’s DJ MixMaster program, where he took his talents to the hottest clubs in the biggest party cities nationwide and served as a brand ambassador. He’s also launched his event company “TRENDSLIFE,” where he’s collaborated with Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj, Diddy, Swizz Beatz, and Rick Ross, as well as numerous high-profile athletes.

Last year, Trends joined DJ Khaled’s We The Best Music Group, where he began working on new music projects for the label. In addition to his radio show and new record deal, Bobby Trends has also had his hand in fashion.  Lately, he’s been busy growing his “Shake the Block” clothing brand into an international success, collaborating with Sabit and working on a collaboration with NY street-wear staple Mighty Healthy.
