DJ Tony Tone

DJ Tony Tone, aka The Blessed Kept Secret, was born and raised in the South Bronx.

From his early childhood, Tony loved music. He often found himself dancing and listening to the sounds of the O’Jays, Michael Jackson, and The Temptations. Many people in Tony’s early life influenced his passion for music. One person that stands out is his cousin, “Disco Bee,” who was a member of Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five. Watching Disco Bee work allowed him to see music in a different way. While Tony enjoyed listening and watching the technique of playing music, as time passed, he realized how much he wanted to become a DJ.

Sometimes, though, it felt like something was missing; Tony often felt empty inside even while doing what he loved, which was playing music. It was then the Lord spoke to him and said, “You don’t have to stop playing music, You are just going to play for me.” Although he did not fully understand this experience with God, Tony obeyed and began a new chapter in his life.

Currently, Tony plays his music with more passion than ever. He belongs to the Heavy Hitters DJ crew, where he is the only DJ that plays Christian Hip-Hop. As Gospel entertainment continues to evolve, Tony focuses on providing his listeners the message of Faith, in hopes of reaching them through the power of God and music.
