After her trending interview on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay, award-winning actress Mo’Nique announced on Thursday (Feb. 8) that she will be hitting the road with Katt Williams for his “Dark Matter” tour.
Making the announcement to her Instagram followers in a live session, Mo’Nique joins the Williams-headlined comedy tour that includes legendary comedian Mark Curry, and Kevin Hart’s ex-wife Torrei Hart. Torrei joined the tour following Williams’s viral Club Shay Shay interview that addressed Kevin Hart, Steve Harvey, Cedric The Entertainer, and Ludacris.
Williams’s interview has spawned mixed responses from comedy’s biggest stars, including Dave Chappelle, Marlon Wayans, and Deon Cole. Kevin Hart publicly shared he would not be responding to Katt Williams nor has an issue with his ex-wife opening for the comedian.
Mo’Nique’s three-hour interview had the Precious star address her issues with Tyler Perry, Oprah Winfrey, Lee Daniels, Kevin Hart, and D.L. Hughley. Mo’Nique revealed audio of a conversation with Tyler Perry, with the award-winning director/screenwriter admitting that he told studios she was “difficult” to work with.
Tyler Perry nor Oprah have responded to Mo’Nique’s claims at press time.
D.L. Hughley, who has had a longstanding beef with Mo’Nique since 2022, responded to Mo’Nique’s Club Shay Shay interview on Wednesday (Feb.7). In a response clip, he calls out Mo’Nique for being a “liar,” disrespecting his daughter who was sexually assaulted by a family member, and addressed past touring together.
Mo’Nique’s first show on the Katt Williams’ Dark Matter tour will be in Bridgeport, Connecticut on Friday, Feb.9.
